Hoy quiero compartir los productos japoneses para mi rutina de cuidado del rostro.

Today I want to share the Japanese products for my face care routine.

Antes de adentrarme en la moda japonesa y toda la cultura detrás de esta, la verdad es que la idea de tener una rutina para lavarse el rostro con un jabón que no fuese el común de tocador y además usar otros productos para proteger la piel, era algo completamente desconocido para mí. Sabía que existían productos para la piel, pero en occidente siempre están relacionados a pieles que necesitan un tratamiento especial contra el acné o para combatir las arrugas. En las tiendas de retail es común también ver sets de cremas con tónicos, pero en mi caso resultaban tener fórmulas tan cargadas de aceites, que en vez de ayudar a mi piel la terminaban perjudicando más.😣
Before getting interested into Japanese fashion and the whole culture behind it, the truth is that the idea of having a routine to wash my face with a soap that was not the regular one and also use other products to protect the skin, was something completely unknown to me. I knew there were products for the skin, but in the West these are always related to skin that needs a special treatment for acne or to fight wrinkles. In retail stores it is also common to see sets of creams with tonics, but in my case they turned out to have formulas so loaded with oils, that instead of helping my skin they ended up damaging it more.

No fue sino hasta mi primer viaje a Japón que supe que existía todo lo que ahora utilizo. Por supuesto, no es que toda la gente en Asia use religiosamente estos productos, pero he visto que al menos hay un par de básicos que se diferencian de la (prácticamente nula) rutina de occidente.
It wasn't until my first trip to Japan that I knew that everything I use now existed. Of course, it is not that all people in Asia religiously use these products, but I have seen that there are at least a couple of basics that differ from the (practically non existent)  skincare routine of the West. 

Aunque también me gustan las famosas marcas coreanas, me he visto prefiriendo productos japoneses al final. Creo que en ambos países en general, todo lo que es para el cuidado del rostro es notoriamente superior a lo que se puede encontrar en occidente en relación calidad-precio. 

Although I also like popular Korean brands, I have found myself preferring Japanese products in the end. I think that in both countries in general, everything that is for face care is notoriously superior to what can be found in the West in price and quality.

La mayoría de estos productos los pueden encontrar por internet en sitios como Amazon Japan o Yesstyle. Si planean buscarlos en su próximo viaje a Japón, los encontrarán fácilmente en tiendas como Don Quijote, Matsumoto Kiyoshi y en farmacias.

1. Jabón para el rostro. Face wash.

Los jabones para el rostro o Face Wash, en Japón los venden normalmente como una pasta con la que uno debe formar espuma y aplicar en el rostro. También hay en gel. En mi caso uso 2 tipos de Face Wash que voy alternando.
Face Wash in Japan is usually sold as a paste that you must foam and apply on the face. There are also in gel type. In my case I use 2 types of Face Wash.

Bioré Massage Face Wash Gel (Verde)

Este es un gel limpiador de rostro de la marca Bioré. Aunque también tienen Face Wash en pasta, esta versión en gel hace un muy buen trabajo limpiando los poros. Al principio me llamó la atención solo porque mi seiyuu favorito Saito Soma trabajó para los comerciales del producto, pero al utilizarlo resultó ser bastante bueno. Ha ganado premios en Cosme.net, el sitio que utilizan los consumidores japoneses para recomendar productos de belleza. 
This is a face cleansing gel from Bioré. Although they also have Face Wash paste, this gel version does a very good job of cleaning pores. At first it caught my attention just because my favorite voice actor Saito Soma worked for the commercials for the product, but after using it on a daily basis it turned out to be quite good. It has won awards on Cosme.net, the site Japanese consumers use to recommend beauty products.

El tipo verde está hecho para utilizarlo después de la ducha, para que sea más efectiva la limpieza de los poros. También hay una versión rosa para utilizar en las mañanas o para antes de aplicar maquillaje sobre la piel.

Está en formato de 150g a aproximadamente 600 yen, pero en Amazon Japan lo pueden encontrar en uno de 250g, más conveniente a 1060 yen. 

The green type is made to be used after showering, to be more effective in cleaning the pores. There is also a pink version to use in the morning or before applying makeup on the skin.

Rosette Cleansing Paste

La línea de jabones en pasta para el rostro de Rosette es muy famosa en Japón y me atrevo a decir que la más popular entre las chicas. Tienen 5 tipos de pasta para tratar distintos problemas de la piel. El verde está hecho también para limpieza de poros.
Al utilizar jabones en pasta, como lo que toca la piel finalmente es espuma, se consigue limpiar muy bien la piel aunque a veces al punto de dejarla reseca (para eso es importante después aplicar tónico o emulsión para humectar la piel).
No me atrevo a decir que este jabón es el mejor de todos, pero en mi caso al menos cumple bien su función. Muchas youtubers japonesas y extranjeras han hecho reseñas de este producto, les recomiendo escuchar también sus comentarios.

Rosette's line of face wash is very famous in Japan and I dare say the most popular. They have 5 types  to treat different skin problems. Green is also made for pore cleansing.

When using face wash, as what touches the skin is finally foam, it is possible to clean the skin very well although sometimes to the point of leaving it dry (for this it is important to apply toner or emulsion afterwards to moisturize the skin).

I don't dare to say that this face wash is the best of all, but in my case at least it does its job well. Many Japanese and foreign youtubers have made reviews of this product, I recommend listening to their comments as well.

Al igual que el gel de Bioré, Rosetta se puede comprar en su formato normal de 120g a 500yen y en su formato especial de Amazon de 180g a 830yen.

2. Loción y emulsión para el rostro. Face lotion and emulsion

Kikomasamune Sake Lotion and Emulsion 🍶

Después de lavarse el rostro, las japonesas en general utilizan loción y emulsión que aplican en la piel para protegerla del smog, polvo y del maquillaje. Estos productos además ayudan a mantener la piel nutrida y a que envejezca más lento. 

Buscando por Amazon los favoritos del público, me apareció esta marca japonesa que usa Sake en su fórmula para hidratar el rostro. Está muy bien valorada entre sus consumidores y también es un favorito en Cosme.net.

En mi caso, cumple muy bien su función. Combinados dejan mi piel muy hidratada, lo que ayuda a que el primer y bases de maquillaje se fijen mejor al aplicarlas.
El producto tiene un leve aroma a Sake que desaparece al rato de aplicarlo. Si bien a mí me funciona muy bien, no lo recomendaría a personas con piel muy sensible.
Se pueden encontrar juntos a 1500yen aprox.

3. Exfoliante Exfoliant

Detclear Bright & Peel Jelly 

La verdad no tengo mucho conocimiento sobre exfoliantes en general, así que me fui a la segura comprando este No.1 en ventas. El producto es en tipo gel, que al aplicarlo en círculos en el rostro comienza a encapsular las impurezas. Es bastante amigable con la piel, no la deja roja por fricción. Lo recomiendo para quienes no les guste usar exfoliante en pasta.

Se puede encontrar a 800 yen.

I don't really have much knowledge about exfoliants in general, so I played it safe by buying this No.1 in sales. The product is gel-like, which when applied in circles on the face begins to encapsulate impurities. It is quite friendly to the skin, it does not leave it red by friction. I recommend it for those who don't like to use a paste scrub.

4. Removedor de maquillaje. Makeup remover.

Biore Skin Tsururun Cleansing Water

En Japón hay un sinfín de aceites y aguas para remover maquillaje. Skin Tsururun vendría siendo un tipo de agua miscelar que ayuda a remover todo tipo de maquillaje y además cuida el rostro. Siempre después de un largo día en un evento, antes de dormir puedo saltarme toda la rutina de limpieza si uso este producto. Después de conocer esta agua no puedo imaginarme usando crema para quitarme el maquillaje. Nunca más!! ><.
Hace ya un par de años que recibí el producto con su envase original y ahora solo compro su refill.
Su formato en 290ml está a 800 yen aprox.

In Japan there are endless oils and lotions to remove makeup. Skin Tsururun is be a type of miscellar water that helps to remove all kinds of makeup and also hydrates the skin. Always after a long day at an event, before sleeping I can skip the entire cleaning routine if I use this product. After knowing this water I cannot imagine using cream to remove my makeup anymore!! > <.

Face Masks - Mascarillas

Con el paso del tiempo, me he estado preocupando cada vez más por la hidratación de mi piel, así que estoy la búsqueda de buenas mascarillas.

Actualmente uso de dos tipos. 

As time goes by, I have been worrying more and more about my skin, so I am searching for good masks to hydrate it.

I currently use two brands.

1. Lu Lu Lun 

Lu lun lun es una marca que se puede encontrar en todas las farmacias y supermercados en Japón. Hasta hace poco solo había usado la marca coreana Mizon y quise probar ahora con marcas japonesas.
Compré un set de 3 sobres con 7 mascarillas cada una. Me gustan bastante porque tienen mucho líquido y su tamaño se ajusta muy bien a mi rostro (suelen decir que las mascarillas japonesas son bastante grandes). Las mantengo unos 8 min y luego trato de aprovechar el producto al máximo pasándolo por mi cuello y brazos. Por internet se puede ver que sacan ediciones especiales por temporadas y de distintas regiones de Japón. Su precio está bastante bien para la calidad que tienen.

Creo que para la próxima compraré el formato grande a 1650 yen para 36 mascarillas.

Lu Lu Lun is a brand that can be found in all pharmacies and supermarkets in Japan. Until recently I had only used the Korean brand Mizon and wanted to try now with Japanese brands to see if there was a difference.

2. Saborino Face Mask

Las mascarillas Saborino llegaron a mis ojos, así como la mayoría de los productos que he mostrado, porque son las mascarillas No.1 entre las japonesas.

Están hechas para usarlas en las mañanas ajetreadas cuando no hay tiempo para hacer la rutina diaria de skincare. Solo es necesario usarlas durante 1 minuto y no es necesario lavarse el rostro antes para que actúen bien. Entre sus componentes, las mascarillas para la mañana tienen aguacate (palta), cítricos y menta para dar un golpe de vitaminas al rostro recién despierto y las mascarillas para noche usan manzanilla y lavanda para relajar la piel luego de un largo día. 

The Saborino masks catched my attention, as well as most of the products that I have shown, because they are the No.1 masks among Japanese girls.

They are made to be used on busy mornings when there is no time to do the daily skincare routine. They only need to be worn for 1 minute, and you don't need to wash your face beforehand for the masks to work well. Among its components, the masks for the morning have avocado extract, citrus and mint to give a hit of vitamins to the newly awakened face.

Suenan como las mascarillas perfectas y sí, realmente funcionan, aunque no las recomendaría a personas con piel ultra sensible, ya que al ser un producto que actúa rápidamente en la piel, eso significa que sus componentes son fuertes y pueden dañar la piel de algunas personas.

Las recomiendo 100% para quienes no tienen tiempo pero quieren cuidar su piel al empezar o terminar su día.

They sound like the perfect masks and yes, they really work, although I would not recommend them to people with ultra sensitive skin, since being a product that acts quickly on the skin, that means that its components are strong and can damage the skin of some people .

Otros Others

Quería aprovechar de recomendar un par de cosas más, sobretodo para quienes recién empiezan a tener una rutina de skincare.

Si bien hay muchos productos que les pueden servir, dentro de los más básicos les recomendaría comprar un cintillo (como en el sale en la foto) y un par de toallas para el rostro porque no es recomendable utilizar la misma toalla que usan para secarse las manos.
En mi caso, tanto el cintillo como las toallas se pueden encontrar fácilmente en sitios como ebay o Aliexpress a menos de 5 dólares. También pueden encontrar en farmacias o tiendas de belleza.

I wanted to take the opportunity to recommend a few more things, especially for those who are just starting a skincare routine.

Although there are many products, among the most basic I would recommend buying a headband (as in the photo) and a couple of face towels because it is not good to use the same towel that you use to dry your hands.

Both the headband and towels can be easily found on sites like eBay or Aliexpress for less than $ 5. They can also be found in pharmacies or beauty stores.
